On April 19th and 26th, 2017, the Westgate Belvedere Homes CRA hosted a two-part Community Design Charrette to gather input from residents, property and business owners on the development of a conceptual streetscape plan for a renewed Westgate Avenue Corridor. Part I of the charrette focused on brainstorming and design and Part II of the charrette presented conceptual plans. Both charrette sessions were well attended and provided invaluable feedback on the creation of the plan.

The CRA hosted a community meeting on November 19, 2016 at the Westgate Recreation Center to present the working draft of the amended Westgate/Belvedere Homes CRA Redevelopment Plan. Thank you to the residents, business, and property owners who attended, as well as the PBC Sherriff’s Office, Code Enforcement, and Parks & Recreation.
The Redevelopment Plan guides the CRA’s efforts by identifying persistent issues within the community such as identity, access, infrastructure, beautification, safety and security, housing, property maintenance and rehabilitation; by creating action plans and programs that will stabilize and improve the community; and by implementing programs through land development regulations, private and public partnerships, and economic initiatives. We are hard at work finalizing the amended Redevelopment Plan for approval by the CRA Board and adoption by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners in the spring of 2017.
The working draft and final draft of the Redevelopment Plan can be viewed under the Plans & Studies tab above.

The CRA attended the grand opening of Clinics Can Help on July 12. Started in 2005, the organization provides gently used medical equipment to those who cannot afford to purchase what is needed or who are not covered under insurance. Clinics Can Help serves 1800 people in Palm Beach County annually and is the only organization of its kind in the State of Florida. Welcome!
