PROJECT COMPLETE!
Westgate Avenue Streetscape Project Ribbon Cutting
The CRA celebrated the completion of construction of the streetscape project with its partners at ribbon cutting event on May 28, 2025.
The new streetscape, extending from Congress Avenue to Wabasso Drive, supports improved mobility and encourages economic growth. Features include the repurposing of lanes from 5 to 3, widened sidewalks, bike lanes, improved crosswalks, pedestrian-scale lighting, flexible on-street parking/landscape islands with protective bollards, new curb and gutter, milling and resurfacing, and a reduced speed limit.
